Well, like me every new or even old digital marketing enthusiast always has a question in mind: who is the best digital marketer in India?
So my name is Vinay and I am a digital marketing learner and intern at Digimaster Institute. So I am from a non technical background field and when i first wanted to start a digital marketing course one of my friends suggested that I learn it from one of the best in the industry, Mr. Deepak Dhiman. Soon I interacted with them and I got to know that he is starting an online institute currently with the name Digimaster alongside his job as a digital marketing head at one of the best and renowned defence institutes in Dehradun INDIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY.
THE JOURNEY
So slowly and gradually I learned some basics of digital marketing from sir, and one day during an offline interaction with students we got to know about his interesting journey of becoming one of the best digital marketer in India.
So sir continues and remembers those days when he first heard about digital marketing term back in 2015 when one of his friends took him out for a day out where they went to a mall and then watched brothers movie. So when sir asked him how he managed all these expenses just in the 1st year of college he replied and said i earned from gaming websites by approving Google AdSense in it. Those were the days when we didn’t have Jio or cheap Internet packages so sir was curious and asked him where he learned these things. He said that his cousin’s brother was in the USA and he taught him all these things.
Then sir requested him to teach me or at least show me some of his works, so he arrived in his room and it had 2 computer screens and a wifi router which amazed sir and then he showed his 2 websites where he regularly updates his blog about new games and also drives traffic from the USA with the help of his brother.
Sir asked him to teach, and in reply, he said bring some unique content I will teach and whenever sir gave him an idea he just ignored or said it was not that good. So in the meantime, sir has realized he will not teach him. Then after a year jio and the computer arrived in Sir’s life and he started researching on content writing and google adsense, soon he started writing blogs on blogger.com about his personal life journey.
THE LEARNING PROCESS TO BECOME THE BEST DIGITAL MARKETER IN INDIA
After this joins another company where he learned about email marketing through an interesting project where clients had a small budget and for cost-cutting he needed to find the best tool with free benefits, he researched a lot of tools and found one the best tool for e-mail marketing sender.net which has free 15000 email and 5000 subscribers with link tracking, template builder and accurate delivery.
In his last company which is a graphic design and digital marketing agency, he learned about more graphic design concepts in digital marketing, and also managed international and national projects of e-commerce and education management.
So sir started his first internship job as a content writer and then pandemic arrived which brought him back to his hometown where he started doing a web developer intern job as he did MCA and his parents wanted him to go in that field. At that time digital marketing was not that booming.
It is 2019, Soon in the company they work they need digital marketers due to the pandemic some of them leave their jobs or go home.
So Sir Senior knew about his digital marketing skills, so they offered him an intern job and a starting salary of 5k, where he soon promoted him to an executive role where he managed a team of 4 people and handled around more than 20 projects in 2 years. Where he learns seo, smm, poster making, ads and does work from 10 to 8 only with a Sunday leave.
After that, he took a break and played cricket as it was his passion, and did freelancing soon LinkedIn marketing trending so he wanted to learn it so he joined a LinkedIn marketing company in 2021 and works there and learning about LinkedIn profile optimization and work on 100 plus client profile with tools like sales navigator, growme organic etc.
THE GROWTH

After more than 4 years of experience he didn’t think he got what he deserved, one day he got to know about a freelance project in one of the renowned defence institute in Dehradun so he made a good nice presentation for the next 3 month’s plan for their business and go there, guess what they saw the presentation and don’t offer them a freelance project, they impressed with his hard work and that presentation, so they offer him a digital marketing head role.
So that’s how his life turned, at IDA dehradun he ran more than 14 lakh plus budgets Google ads in less than a year and generated them almost 3x of the business, they currently rank in the top 5 on keywords like best nda coaching in India , and best nda coaching in dehradun. There are many blogs that currently rank in the top 5 in India like ranks in indian army, and ranks in indian air force. Before his arrival, they were out of 50 on the Google search engine and their DA has increased from 16 to 21. Traffic increased from 3k to 70k in a month. They show us all the projects on his laptop.
His journey and interesting project stories inspire and mesmerize me always. Sir always said you have to learn by yourself practical knowledge is the best knowledge.
